Jim Bird retired from Avaya in July 2001. He was a Sales Director with Avaya based in Utah.
Your career title is not who your are but it is what you do. I am not Jim Bird, Sales Manager it is only what I do for a livelihood. I am a Father, Husband, Grandfather, Friend and a Harley Rider. The day I discovered that my world changed dramatically. You can do well at your livelihood but the other things are most important. One great measure of success is the way your Son describes you when he is talking to a friend. Life needs to be enjoyed. We have to laugh and have fun.

John passed away on July 26, 2004. We miss you greatly. You’re the Best John. Thanks for being a good friend and for being Real.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A STAR?
Stars have integrity – and it shows in everything they do. They are responsible, dedicated, disciplined and focused on meeting objectives.
They are energetic, motivated, honest, handle pressure well and have strong work and core values. They can see the big picture rather than just the world from their departmental perspective.
