Web: Mission Statement Builder

Franklin-Covey Leadership (www.franklincovey.com)

Most of us have read (or at least heard of) Stephen Covey’s “7 Habbits of Hightly Effective People”. Some may even be using a Franklin Smith’s Planner/Organizer. Both companies merged a few years back. There are many good gems on their web site.

Definitely check out Personal Mission Statement Builder. It’s Free.

Book: BusinessThink

Great book on doing the ‘thinking’ systemically and systematically in solving business problem, revolving around the six-rule (of course, common-sense but still very effective.)
Rule 1: Check your ego at the door
Rule 2: Move off the solution
Rule 3: Get evidence
Rule 4: Calculate the impact
Rule 5: Explore the ripple effect
Rule 6: Slow down for yellow light
Read the free mini-ebook (pdf format):

Web: Online Photo Sharing

Dotphoto.com

There are a few good ones out there. I like dotphoto since it doesn’t seem to have any limit on storage size and many professional photographers use this site to sell their photos. AND you don’t have to pay subscription fee for using the site (unless you are using their photo-printing services). Other sites to check out are: www.ofoto.com.

Web: Low Cost Web Hosting

Great Low Cost Web Hosting (www.icdsoft.com)

Check out ICD Soft web hosting. It’s only $60/year ($5 a month), no set up fee, and for only $5 more, you can also register a domain name (com, net, org). The set up process is very easy and efficient. The web server is fast (based in HK but with high speed fiber line). Definitely a great value. You get 333 MB storage, five sub-domains, plus unlimited email accounts (POP, SMTP, IMAP, web-based), and much more. Well-worth the price.
